Dear Mother & Father
Was pleased to hear from you yesterday have not written before as have been very busy. Was inoculated again Monday this time in the chest.  I am getting on alright with semaphore.  About 30% of each company have to learn it so we have exams now & again.  Have done a fair amount of field work lately.  We had a shame battle Monday.  I got shot about nineteen times what luck it was only with blanks.  Will you send me a pair of braces as these will not last long & we are having a kit inspection Monday to see if we have enough of everything.  We might move off any time now. I got wet though one…..unfinished
