Dear Mother & Father

14 Dec 1914

Received both parcels & letter yesterday many thanks.  The parcel with seed cake was burst open & there was only a small piece of pudding left sticking to the paper, still it tasted alright.  You should only pay postage to Southampton or to the port it leaves in England 1/-4 is too much for each parcel.  After parcels leave England our own transport take them. The seed cake & biscuits went alright same as others following will I hope!  Had a letter from [Pat] he seems pleased with life.  Will write soon. Hope everything is alright .  Plenty of [   ]
Love to Ethel [& selves.]
