My Dear Mother & Father
You’ll be pleased to hear I received box of biscuits socks and handk yesterday many thanks. The biscuits are jolly fine & they’ll last a day of two. Don’t send anymore soap for a time as I’ve plenty at present. When you send Iron Jelloids should like some tooth powder & another towel (cheap as when dirty will be thrown away). Haven’t much time to write more as I parade at 9 o’clo & it’s nearly that now. Hoping all are well with kind regards to neighbours & love to all at home.

I remain
Your affect Son
