My Dear Mother & Father
Received your letter yesterday very pleased to hear all are keeping well & that everything is going on alright at home. The front garden will look a bit respectable when the new gate is put up. Hope Dad likes his digs & manages to get up early in the mornings. You can get Mr Hudson to change £1 into francs in about a weeks time & then send them out. Hope I’ve not been asking for too much if I have I’m sorry let me know & I’ll ring off. Those biscuits were grand but If I were you I should send them again as I expect they cost about 6/- & that’s a lot as they only last a couple of days. Have had a lot of wind rain & cold of late how is it at home? Kind regards to neighbours & love to Ethel & selves.

Your affect Son
