21 Apr 1916 I was inoculated Monday morning

No 58 Grenadier Co

My Dear Mother & Father
Received your letter today, also Tit-bits & People. I was inoculated Monday morning and spent the following 36 hrs sinking between the blankets. The weather here during the last week or so has been rotten, wet & cold best part of the time. Have not heard anything about leave yet will let you know when I do. I hope Mr Cornish is fond of his job as a soldier, & should think as he’s in Scotland kilts would go rather well. Should like a parcel soon, send it via Southampton, more than 7lbs can come that way. Will write again shortly. Kind regards to all neighbours & love to all at home.

Your affect Son
